Howell-Curricular Pillars
This article talks about the difference between using the pillars or units methods of teaching. The pillars method is about reinforcing a topic so that the student doesnt forget what he or she learned in the future. Kind of like building knowledge on top of knowledge. The units method is teaching it and moving on just like in a book how there are different units. I personally like the pillars method because it helps the student recall what they learned and they dont forget it which is what your trying to do in the first place.
Taggart-Meeting the Music needs of all Students
This article is about how music should not be considered extra-curricular because just like in math or science some students have more potential to do better in music. It is also a required class at the elementary level so is therefor not "extra". Just like in anyother class students should be given chances to rise to their best in the music classroom.

Devany-Learning Centers
I like the ideas of learning centers. It gives the student a chance to learn at their own pace. It also gives them the opportunity to focus on what they need to focus on. In a classroom one studnet might totally understand one topic while another student will have no idea what is going on. Learning centers can give these students the opportunity to catch up on what they need to.
Tagart-Developing Musicianship through musical play
I feel like for students at a certain age its is hard for them to focus in just a lecture or a typical way of teaching music by just sitting down and reading music. I feel like interpreting a musical game of puzzle of some sort would help keep a young students focus.
TRIAD-Early Childhood Education
It seems like everyone has there own way of teaching music to young students. Everyway can work I believe but it depends on the studnet because every child was introduced to music in a different way when they were little.
